They ride sun-fueled lasers as long as they can, and use the light pressure of the solar wind and the laser, and solar energy to help fuel an ion drive for fine navigation. Slowing down is tricky, but because they use near-constant acceleration, they are capable of traveling vast distances within a human lifetime.
